What a great event yesterday!

Well I have to say that Crop for a Cure was a huge success! After all the raffle tickets, auctions, classes and donations were counted I raised $2000 this year! It's not over yet either. SCS Karate will donate $20 per person that signs up for the Ladies Self Defense class in August. Make sure you check out their website for more details: SCS Karate

Here's a list of local companies that supported my event this year. Make sure you visit them and let them know that they helped to make Crop for a Cure a huge success.

The W Builder donated the cute furry puppy that kept us laughing. If you need to do an add on to your home or are looking to build you need to give them a call.

Moo Che Che donated two gift cards. Gotta get some frozen yogurt and cool off this summer. They are located at the Eastern Shore Center in Malbis.

Kravers donated hush puppies and a gift card. Yummy seafood and located near 181 and 64 in Daphne. Tell Luann "Hi" for me.

Beef O' Brady's donated two gift cards and coupons for free wings. Make sure you use those coupons and stay tuned for a spirit night to be coming up to help raise even more for Breast Cancer Research. Located right off the I10 in Spanish Fort on 98.

Panera Bread in Eastern Shore Center donated bagels and muffins for us. Make sure you tell Richard how much you enjoyed those yummy breads.

Starbucks Coffee was donated by the Starbuck at the Eastern Shore Center on 181. They were so nice to include all the cups, creamer and sugar. Please stop by if you are in the area and tell them how wonderful the coffee was.

Hala is a new business getting started in wood working. Check out their facebook page and like them. My favorite is the cooler stand. Get it engraved with LSU, Roll Tide or your family name.

Cesca's Creations is also a new business by a new mom. Francesca can embroider everything, including her finger. Ouch! She can be found on Facebook as well.

Little Casaers in Daphne helped feed us lunch by donating half the pizzas and crazy bread. Go by the drive threw and let Monica know how much you appreciate and like the pizza.

Liquid Lounge, The Ok Bicycle Shop and Taqueria in Mobile donated two gift cards that can be used at all three of their restaurants. They are really big on supporting Breast Cancer Fundraisers. Visit their website at http://www.dauphintaqueria.com/

Gigi's and Scraphappy both donated gift cards. I'm sure they'll love a visit from you.

Chic-fil-a in Daphne was nice enough to donate a bag of fun products along with a gift card for some yummy chicken nuggets. Make sure you visit them on August 1 to support Chic-fil-a day.

Lynn Knighton, Eastern Shore Parents magazine, ran an article in her publication for free about my event. If you are a business that needs to get your name out in the Eastern Shore area or Mobile she will help you do that. Very reasonable. Visit her website for more details.

Steve Barfield, my better half, cooked our delicious dinner again this year. Everyone said he out did himself. If you are looking to buy a house or sell one he will work just as hard or harder to get you the best deal. He works for Coldwell Banker United in Daphne.

A huge thank you to the vendors at my event!

Jennifer Johnson, Close To My Heart
Deb and Elyse
Sharee Kinard, Creative Memories
Brandy West, Thirty One Gifts
Studio 29:11
Cesca's Creations
Cindy Capps, Vinyl cutouts
Jeannette Abee
Jane Gardner, Gold Buyer

Last but not least I need to thank my Turtles, Laura, Diane, Martha and Kristie. They were so helpful with planning the event, setting up, cleaning up and just being a big help. Without my team I would not be able to do this event. So much goes into planning this event. Ideas for classes, getting donations, auction items. I could not do it alone. So thank you ladies. You are a blessing to me.

A special thank you to Lynn Lawrence who helps organize my brain. LOL. She gives me great ideas, helps me stay on my toes and reminds me of things that need to be done. She also decorated the cutest, cleverest bra!

Thank you everyone again for a successful Fundraiser to help find a cure for Breast Cancer.

Donations keep coming in!

Wow! I love how generous people are. Here's a list of who has donated already:

Moo Che Che
Kravers
Beef O'Brady's
W Builders (Fur Real Biscuit)
Liquid Lounge
Carol Muehleisen (Crystal Vases)

My friend Johanna donated this too:

This is valued at $250. I'm going to make this a raffle ticket item. Perfect for your child or grandchild for Christmas.

Plus all the vendors are donating door prizes.

Ann from Gulf Coast Scrapbooking
Sharee from Creative Memories
Jeannette and Francesca from Cesca's Creations
Deb and Elyse
Cindy (Vinyl artwork)

I'm also looking into doing a spirit night type fundraiser at Beef O'Brady's. Details will be available at the crop.

Keep spreading the word and asking everyone you know to help support this fundraiser. Even if they don't crop they can donate.

My page for accepting donations is : Crop for a Cure

I'm over $1000 already just from registration forms coming in. I hope to increase the amount with selling raffle tickets and auctions.

Thanks so much for helping me make a difference in the fight against Breast Cancer.

July 28th, Crop for a Cure!

This year's event will be July 28th at Jubilee Baptist Church on Pleasant Road in Daphne. I'm looking forward to seeing you all again and having a great turnout! Please email me and I'll send you a registration form.

jackieb410@bellsouth.net

Details of the crop:

Cost is $40 by May 31st, $50 after that date.

You get a table, t-shirt, goodie bag, raffle ticket, prizes for the contests, lunch and dinner, time with friends scrapbooking, learning new things (lots of classes to sign up for), and so much more.

Steve is making his famous jambalya and vendors will also be bringing food. Working on getting Little Caesar's to donate some pizza.

Contest: Decorate a Bra! There will be a prize for the best decorated bra. Creativity is key here. Don't hold back. Judging will be during the crop where each person that enters will have to "wear" the bra and parade around the room. I hope you aren't shy! (My team - this will be mandatory for you!)

Hope to hear from you soon.

Jackie
